Feeling good, sticking to renal diet and prescribed exercise routine. Also survived Irma without any damage nor losing power. Very thankful.

Wow! I am from Florida, my dad is still in fort Myers. He made it out just in the nick of time by driving to Tampa and catching one of the only flights out that day. I'm glad you survived! I know millions of people were without power.

What kind of excersize do you incorporate? Does it help with ant BP symptoms you may have?

I am 76 and do a senior exercise class called Silver Sneakers It incorporates , mild aerobic, flexibility, balance and working certain muscle groups. I also walk. and when do not walk use exercise equipment.. treadmill & bike for 10 minutes each.

Glad to hear your dad got out of Fort Meyers before Irma came. Hope he did not sustain damage. It was very intense and very large hurricane. Live in Orange City near Orlando.

My grandkids still are without power in Pinellas County (St. Petersburg/Clearwater) but the good news is that they should be back on the grid before the weekend is over.

Glad to hear you did okay on the east side of the state. They are up in Palm Harbor and had only limbs down and power off. However, it did cost them about 2 dozen Neon Tetras in their aquarium tank when the power went out.

I'm feeling somewhat better. My GFR went up 3 points (it could have gone the other way). I still haven't decided on what form of dialysis I may go with when the time comes as there is so much to look into. Everyone have a safe weekend.

Glad you grandkids came out of Irma ok except for power and other mishaps. They are getting most power back on by tomorrow in our area.

GFR can vary. Yes agree much to look into and are options on dialysis if one needs it. Who knows what will come up with in next couple of years. Maybe a portable machine??

Haven't been able to find a price for the System One. I was informed that you have to go through your local in-center location so they may be the one to obtain it and supply it while billing the insurance. Don't know for sure but if anyone does would like to hear about it.

I feel fine. I'll be 78 in a few days. Bladder/prostate removed due to cancer in 2015, then R kidney removed due a type of cancer (TCC) directly related to the bladder cancer. I'm CKD4, with an eGFR of 27-29. I am at risk to develop cancer in my remaining kidney, which would obviously lead to dialysis and maybe a transplant (it would have to be a live transplant based on a relative or friend donating his/her kidney). I follow a renal diet and exercise 5-6 days a week at a nearby YMCA. Except for diet/exercise, the future is in the Lord's hands, not mine.
