Calories Consumed: 1467

*5 a Day* Achieved: Yes

Activity/Exercise: 90 mins

Approx Calories used: 245

Ok so considering that it's only day 2, I feel that I'm doing really well and I'm on the right track. I am keeping my calorie intake low and had this in mind when writing my shopping list today.

The kids are off school for the Easter Holidays, if it had been warmer I would have taken them out to the park today but they refused to go *tut* ;).

In the past, because we are so busy during the terms we use the half terms & holidays to "veg out" e.g. watch dvds, sit and create "works of art" with the multitude of craft stuff we have jammed under the sink, read, do suduko puzzles, play on the laptop or play card games. I realise that, although this is a wonderful bonding time for me and my girls (they are only 10 & 7 how much longer will they want to spend time with me?), I need to add movement, activity & exercise to my day. Today I made sure I got up and did a bit of housework so that I wasn't sitting for too long and I have done 15mins worth of exercises before coming to bed to write this blog & sleep.

I have had a "Wow" moment today - I made some Fridge Cake with my girls and haven't eaten any! :) No chocolate or biscuit crumbs when making it, no licking out the bowl or spoon and I didn't have a slice when Hubby & girls did earlier this evening.

Result!

Good restraint around the Fridge Cake - didn't even lick the bowl - I'm impressed!

Lol! Thanks swimmingbunny :)

Hope I show the same level of restraint in the weeks to come ;)

I have promised myself that I can have a piece on Sunday after my weigh in IF I have lost more than my goal of 1lb ...

(That's if my girls & hubby haven't eaten it all!! Lol!)

Thanks nikkio, :)

My plan is to get my body (& mind) to be satisfied with consuming 1400kcals max per day over this Easter break so that when I'm back at work on 8th April and my activity level jumps back up, my body will start to use up the excess stored fat to keep up with demand.

Well that's what I'm hoping ....
