Missed the weigh in this week as I've been busy, but did weigh and measure myself on Monday. I wasn't expecting a big loss only around 1.5lbs but in week 2 I've lost 4lbs and 2 inches off my waist! Considering my calorie intake was only about 100cals less than week one and I was nowhere near as active I managed to double my weight loss and seen a dramatic improvement in my waist size.
Here's my figures for week 2:
Weight:
175.4lbs >>> 171.2lbs
Waist:
41.5in >>> 39.5in
BMI:
29.13 >>> 28.47
Maybe this is an after effect of the exercise from week 1 - I don't know.
I won't be doing week 4 next week as I am on holiday and 1400 cals per day when you are skiing just does not work! I'm going to eat healthily and watch portion size but calorie counting can go out the window.

Hi bumblebeaz,
It's not a precise science insofar as there are actually many variables involved. So, just keep looking at the overall trend.
Hi bumblebeaz, well done. I don't know if you use my fitness pal,but it gives an idea of calories used in exercise. For a person of 171lbs 30 minutes of skiing light effort uses about 194 calories, moderate effort 233 calories. Not sure how accurate it is but thought you might like to know. Have a good holiday.
