Day 266: Knowing What's Right.

Sometimes you just have to listen to your body and not do what your mind wants to do...mostly because you often forget how old you actually are. So I will stick to two miles a day and, if I want to do more, I'll do it after school, not in the morning. Not great eating-wise today, but not really bad either. Stay strong.

Keep hanging in there Sean. Do what you can do. I’ve managed to lose another pound. I did this with a combination of LCHF exercise and fasting. I walked the dog for about three hours. I wont cycle tomorrow weather is rubbish. Weakened and had a few whiskies tonight. Hope tomorrow the running is less of a struggle.

Good luck

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

I have a feeling that a whisky is on the cards for me tonight too. I need to stop giving myself excuses for eating badly and get back on it. Tiredness doesn't help, but it is still an excuse. I've done it before and I can do it again, so I have to start being stronger. Well done on another pound lost and I certainly know what you mean about the weather!

Sean I am no diet guru or expert. I was worried at 66 I wouldn’t get it off as I used to.

I’d run it off in the past for example but I can’t do that now but it’s going

Low carb works for me I can eat eggs cheese Meat fish foods which make me feel satisfied and add filling vegetables ( which all contain some carbs).

With gigging and the pub scene beer was a big part of my downfall but every pint is a pint of sugary water. It takes a long time for your weight to go on so it’ll take awhile to get it off. If I want a drink whisky gin Bacardi are low cal. They still slow down your metabolism though but are not high calorie. I would rather not drink but heh ho.

I am fit now have more energy and agility.

I am not teaching now though so I have the time to put in for exercise However Even when I was teaching though I-really enjoyed my running and cycling with the lads at weekends.

It’s your call mate you do what works for you. You’re obviously serious about your weight journey as you have made a commitment to it for so long. You will reach your goal. Look forward to reading your posts. Onwards and thin wards 😂😂

Very sensible by the sounds of it 👍 there is no reason the future-you will not be able to run longer distances. It’s just that your body is coping with being exhausted from your daily activities and it seems like it may be that little bit too much at the moment. Look after yourself 😊

Hi Sheperdess,

Hope your journey is going well. I am going to finish off with a 3 mile run next Wednesday as my last day of running continuously. I still intend to carry on running, just with breaks. Lol

It sounds like you're doing a great job! Sometimes it's about striking a balance as not every day is going to be perfect with food or drink, life gets in the way. Well done with sticking to the exersize! :)
