The best Keto diet book

Can anyone recommend an easy to follow, simple ingredients and not a lot of prep Keto diet book? After reading lots of helpful posts on here I feel the only way forward for me is the Keto way. I am insulin resistant from having PCOS .

Oh I’d love one of those! Not got anywhere with it. Maybe I should write one!

Personally I don't think there is any need for a book, just google DietDoctor, they have so many recipes that you can use for free and I haven't found one yet that is not delicious :)

Oh but I love a cookbook. You can’t write notes on a webpage.

After printing them, putting them in a folder and writing your notes on them to tweak the recipes - you’ll be half way done writing your book 😊

I printed the 2 weeks, and am making notes as I cook and taste. Yes a book would be nice, but I’m managing...

So you won’t buy my book then 🤣🤣🤣

I’d add Aga oven timings...

I love a good cook book, like slim_for_good said in a previous post I like to make notes on them. Its not the same using the internet, maybe that’s just my age showing 😩 and to print them off would probably work out more expensive then just buying one. Has anyone got any suggestions?

Yep. I’m going to write one. Just need to find the time, perfect the recipes, find a publisher etc etc...

I think you'll find "the best" is very much dependent on your tastes, Judd123. Have a scan through Amazon (there are loads of low-carb cookbooks now) and use the 'look inside' feature.

Incidentally, you don't need to stay "keto". This is a short phase that gets your body into fat-burning mode. After that, you'll be in a standard LCHF pattern (low-carb high-fat). If you're not sure of the difference, scan back through some of the older posts; or I can recommend "A New Atkins for a New You" (by Drs. Volek & Phinney), which also contains a few recipes.

Hi. I have always just used the internet but have recently purchased two books after following Keto fitness club on Facebook/instagram. They are called FFS ( for fats sake) and WTF ( where’s the fat). They are really easy to follow and nice y to have something to flick through? They have loads of free recipes on their site so you can do both?

Sorry to butt in here. Are the recipes in FFS and WTF easy to split down - I live alone. Or easily freezable in single portions? Thanks.

Dear Judd123,

A few weeks ago I was in the same place as your good self. So went onto Amazon, as you do, and the prices were more than I was prepared to pay.

Then I went to The Works web site, well fell onto it really, and found “The Beginner’s Keto Diet Cookbook.” The RRP was £16.99 but my payment was only £6.00!

There are pages and pages of delicious recipes haven’t tried all of them as there are over 100 and in colour.

The recipes are with what I would call ‘normal’ ingredients with some exceptions eg Swerve, liquid stevia. I mean what are they? Thank goodness for Google!

All I can say is have a look and see what you think. Happy shopping! 🙂

Hi Judd123,

Like the other Members have recommended, have a look on Amazon.

Two books that I have, one is called Keto for Women (not really for women, there are lots of nice recipes) and the other book, which is my favourite out of the two, is called, The Wholesome Yum Easy Keto Cookbook, and there is a website for it, and they have different free recipes on their web site (the book has colour photos; and the site has free printable recipes...the book is available on their site, as well as on Amazon..if not UK then .com)

Happy shopping :)

Perhaps try the Fast 800 Cookbook. Written by Dr Clare Bayley (Dr Michael Moseley’s wife). Based on low carb Mediterranean food from fresh ingredients. Some fabulous meals and very easy to make. Also have a good read of the book as it explains about metabolic syndrome and how to reverse it. Good luck x
