Starting the journey

Hi there! So I’ve signed up to the emails, downloaded the app, put a link on my home screen to the calorie counter, and I’m ready to start on Monday (as this is how the calendar works, seems a good day to start). Tomorrow I’ll be planning all my meals and snacks for the week. I have limited exercise ability due to Fibromyalgia, FND and Chronic Fatigue, so I’m searching for cheap exercise bikes (currently out of stock due to the pandemic and everyone exercising from home) and planning in walks as part of my daily allowance of exercise outside the house. 2st minimum to lose, I’m ready for this 💪🏻

Hello and welcome to the weight loss forum, NatBird :)

I would suggest you get rid of the app (it doesn't reach all parts) and access the forum via the web address, whatever device you're using.

This is a great place for information and support. You'll find everything you need, inclusing a Welcome post, in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... I recommend starting by joining a weekly weigh in on the day of your choice, and using the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans.

Active participation really pays off so I hope we'll see you joining in our activities, clubs and challenges, chatting and encouraging others :)

Hi NatBird, welcome to our lovely forum. You sound very organized and determined. I suggest that ,as you're beginning your weight loss journey on Monday, you spend any spare time you have tomorrow having a good "click" around the site. Follow all the links you have been sent so that you know exactly which feed you would like to follow.

As already mentioned try to participate as much as you can. The Daily Diary is a great place for sharing your plans with other members. I find that when I've shared my menu, I'm far more likely to prepare real food and stick to plan. Another feed is the weekly weigh in. I'm a member of the Tuesday Trimmers, I find that a weekly appointment gives me something to aim for. Just choose your day, find the feed and copy everyone else!

I hope to see you around.

Thank you! I’m quite excited! Is there a new post every week for the weigh ins or is it just one continuous feed? And is that the same but daily, for The Daily Diary? Xx

You'll find a new feed everyday for both the weigh ins and the Daily Diary.

Have a look at the pinned posts. This forum is much easier from the website as opposed to the app. Until you know your way around.🍀
