Tomorrow I'm starting my weight loss journey. Starting at 142kg

Aiming for a goal of 65kg... However my first goal is 135kg...I'm only 25 and I struggle with motivation and self control. This is gonna be so hard :( any motivation tips.

Welcome MMA-goals

You are going to do this! That's a hard goal, but it's obtainable. Setting an achievable goal is smart. Keep adding them so you can recognise milestones.

If you haven't done so already, do some research on LCHF and intermittent fasting and spend some time on dietdoctor.com. I believe these approaches have merit.

Your weight puts you in a risk group for coronavirus, but stress reduces immunity so don't do any strict diet during this time. Slow and steady wins the race, and saves lives!

It can be really hard because me and you are on the same path. Just think of something that motivates you to move. For me music makes me feel better like I just want to be free and dance because I like dancing and it makes me to want to work out more. & also depending on what workout I do I put on a music that would help me do that. Just love yourself for who you are even if your not proud about your weight. Just be a free spirit

Hi and welcome, MMA-goals :)

Maybe this could give you some insight into your lack of control well.blogs.nytimes.com/2013...

All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.

We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.

Wishing you all the best :)

Small goals really helps, don't even think about 65kg, focus on 5kg drops and figure that you're in for the long haul (which is fine)
