Day 48: Planning.

Recently I've noticed that I have been heading back to where I was. The good thing is, is that i have noticed and made a plan to get back to it. Hope you are all managing to stay on course with your own plan.

Hi Wordsworth. Well done on realising that you are slipping back and making plans to rectify it. Good move. I’ve only just started but have made my first plan for today. Fingers crossed 🤞 we can both achieve our aim for today, good luck for today and the rest of your journey.

Thanks for the support Susie71, it's good that you're back and trying again. If it's one thing I've learned it's that failing is ok, so long as you learn and move one and don't make the same mistakes. I've learnt from some of my mistakes, but not all. Hence this second plan. Good luck with your journey, I shall follow it with you and give you the same support you're giving me! Thanks again! Stay strong.

It's easy to think "I've got this" and then slip so far it feels like a mountain to get back.

Well done on realising and getting back to it.

I stopped writing down what I'd eaten for a while, but I became less mindful. I didn't put any on luckily, but also didn't lose for a few weeks

Back to noting my food now

Hi Pheebs55, it so is. You think that you're in a routine and that you're fine and become complacent. And complacency takes us backwards. Something I now have to watch for. Thank you so much for your support. Good luck with your journey!

You must be the most honest person on this site 😊putting the rest of us to shame whilst we are thinking “this little slip didn’t really happen”, “I’ll make this up tomorrow”, “I took it from someone else’s plate so it doesn’t really count” 😂 You can do it you know. You will do it 👍

Hi Sheperdess, we're all going through the same journey and it's hard for all of us. And if I was really honest, I wouldn't eat the rubbish or go backwards. But I haven't been honest with myself for a while, hence the new plan. Please don't ever feel ashamed about not being honest with yourself as, actually, you are. Every time you feel guilty because of it you're being honest and when you admit it and out it right, that's the learning that slips bring. I don't stop myself from having most things, but I do try and moderate the amounts I have. And sometimes I don't and have to go back and redo. Thank you so much for the support you give me, I hope I can give the same support to you!

Well done Wordsworth2! I have only recently joined this site, having tried a few weightloss schemes before. Each time I re-start I feel bad about the fact that I am having to do so. Someone pointed out to me that I should take each day as a separate thing, start with a clean plate each day. I feel far less guilty since then, but obviously trying to keep slippages to a minimum is best ;-). Keep it up, and thanks for sharing.

Hi Catnap99, it's hard to keep starting again, that's why I'm never starting again, just replanning and refocusing when I need to. No plan is ever perfect, so you have to keep tweaking and twisting and manipulating until you find something that works. Thank you so much for your support. I shall watch your journey with interest!
