Ok thanks! Just need to try and maintain my motivation. 4pm is a dodgy time for me - I reach for the biscuits....! How’re you getting on?

Lol I’m exactly the same, I’m working nights this week which doesn’t help either x

I’m off work this week - which makes it a bit easier not to just grab the biscuits!!

How’re you going to manage on nights? Have you got a plan? X

No just good will power and plenty of beach walks. I’m also doing couch 25k I’m on week 4 so carry on with that x I’ve made soup to keep me going x

Hello Mischal1 and welcome to this Forum! What a difficult time your daughter, your family and you have gone through and great news you had in January!

Your first weight loss results are really good, well done! We weigh in here once a week on that days Weigh In page, see below for guidance. Joining a Weigh In page means you become part of a supportive team which is a real help to all

First of all here's a link to the Site Guide which we strongly recommend you read as it will help you find your way about the Forum and provides other links on security, picture guides on navigation and other useful info'

Please note, don't use the HU App, it is much easier to use the website!

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

There's a lot there but it's worth taking your time to read, honest!

We recommend that members join a Weekly Weigh-In, on the day of your choice, and also use the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans and get useful feedback. They are found under Pinned Posts or Events(see site guide link above)

For today to help you out I've added a link just to THIS Mondays Weigh In page which is open till 9pm tonight

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

A special feature of our Forum is the degree of support between members which you will experience (and add to yourself !) as you join in and chat with others.

All the best on your weight-loss journey ! 😊

As Subtle_badger has mentioned, joining today's weigh-in will help get you started.

Additionally, look at using the Daily Diary... healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... which helps with maintaining focus. You could pop over right now and commit to your meals today :)

Good luck! :)

Hi, Mischa1 , welcome.

If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.

Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:

Newbies IF FAQ:

Thank you everyone for your kind replies , I was contacted by a reporter who works this morning asking if myself and my daughter would be willing to take part in one of the this morning health episodes to discuss her journey through the last year. I do course would love to, but still not have the confidence, cant even walk to my local shops let alone on live TV!

So even more incentive to lose weight now!
