I'm actually in tears reading this George and I go back a long time
He was such a lovely man
He talked often of you Jenny and your wee miss as he called her
You were very lucky to have him.
He talked about his Navy Days in Devon as my lad did a stint in forces too and we live in Devon.
We did a happiness challenge to see good in life and whatever was going on to helping others too and try to help us with our emotional eating problems.
He always seemed a very happy loving guy
Will miss catching up and him having a bit of banter
Aĺl my love to you and family
So sorry to hear about this George's wife. If you're following this thread then please look at 'Chat'.
To those of you who didn't know George, he was a beautiful big hearted man who always projected a happy outlook on life. He came here for help but he also provided so much support to many of us here.
A great loss!!

A good place to start is by joining a weekly weigh-in on the day of your choice: it's a great place for mutual support and to get to know other members. And have a look at the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans and pinch ideas: again, it's chatty and sociable. You'll find them both in Events and this will help you find that part of the forum healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
I've tagged you in the Welcome Newbies post: that's worth looking at as it gives an overview of the forum. Do some exploring, ask questions, join in, encourage others - it will all pay off for you.
Finally, here's our information about online privacy/security healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

A good way of getting into the forum is by joining a weekly weigh-in on the day of your choice, and sharing your meal plans on the Daily Diary. You'll find them, and much more, in Pinned Posts and this is how to find them healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
I don't know if you have a plan in mind to help with weight loss but if you've heard that it comes down to 'eat less, move more' this explains why this often fails us psychologytoday.com/us/blog... My recommendation would be to eat real food, home cooked, avoiding processed foods - and that includes anything labelled low fat or light or diet as it's all heavily processed.
The forum is set up for sharing information and support so, wherever you do, please chat, ask questions and encourage others: that way, we share the support around
My condolences to you and your family. I had not “met” George but can see that he was very well liked here, so can appreciate your thoughtfulness in letting people know of his passing. We make many friends online, and even though we are “anonymous”, those friendships are real and of value in our lives. I have been in the situation on a different forum, of being left wondering what has happened to a good friend who suddenly stopped posting so thank you for consideration of George’s friends here. Xx
I am so, so sorry to hear your news. I always loved George’s participation in the forum and often wondered why we had stopped hearing about his progress. I can empathise with how you are feeling as I lost my husband last year after 57 years of marriage. Look after yourself and while you will never forget gradually happy memories will predominate.💕
I’m so saddened by your news of George. He seemed to have touched people’s hearts.
It’s very kind of you to update everyone and it must have been very hard for you to do so.
I hope with time your pain gets a little lighter as you focus on the good memories.
Rest in peace George
Take care George’s wife xxx 💐
George was a real gentle man and it was a pleasure to have known him on the Forum. George obviously loved his family and I am touched that you have taken the time to tell us this sad news. I enjoyed George’s contributions here and will miss his chats.
No doubt this Christmas has been difficult for you. Enjoy your memories and the times you shared and smile whenever you can.
I'm sorry to hear of the sad news. It has been years, and I distinctly remembered George to have been one of the most supportive, honest and open members of this forum, which I'm sure is the impression he left on others who had the pleasure of encountering him.
Thank you for this update. I'm sorry for your loss, and wish you and family the best. 💜
