Hello and welcome to the Weight Loss Forum DollD

As you have seen, this is a very friendly and supportive place. If you haven’t already then please see Pinned Posts here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

especially the Welcome Newbies and the Security Post. (When you write a new post you are given the option to only allow forum members to view your post, which we recommend or else anyone on the WorldWideWeb can see your post)

This is a very busy forum with lots going on but feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Best Wishes in your weight loss journey

Hello again :)

If you've had time to read the information I gave you yesterday, that will help you find your way to the weekly weigh-ins and Daily Diary, which are a good place to start

Big Welcome Hugs, DollD . Joining this forum was a one of your Truly Great Decisions. You will find oodles of help and advice and you will always be supported by a community of folk bound together by a determination to feel and look better.

May I suggest you read around the forum? Just browse around the posts to see whose experiences chime with yours or who makes you smile or laugh or just feel better generally.

Also please consider keeping a detailed and searingly honest food diary, so you can identify those things in your diet which need eliminating or reducing. If you do this gradually you're more likely to maintain your new lifestyle - at least that's been my experience.

Lots of good luck as we move into Advent. On Health Unlocked, you are never alone.

Thanks a million Betty. Trying to read all around, lots of infos to come but I m on it. Really liked that honest food diary. Sounds easy but it isn’t.

You're so right, it's not. Years ago I was having to write things like 'Ate a whole box of Maltesas in one sitting.' Not good, but then eating only half a box the next night seemed like a relative triumph!

Eventually, I could record 'Passed the stack of Maltesas in the supermarket. Snarled and walked on. Result.'

Hi DollD , welcome.

Missing breakfast is"Intermittent Fasting".

If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.

Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
