What do you all have for breakfast? I’ve been mixing it up with porridge, yoghurt and fruit, cereal, toast but I am bored of the same thing - do struggle with breakfast

On weekday, I usually have skyr with almonds or chia seeds and a bit of fruit. Sometimes porridge with cinnamon and a bit of butter. On weekends when there’s more time, I usually have something with eggs, but this morning buns are in the oven. Carby and calorific but I will stick to one.

Eggs for me usually, or fruit & yogurt 😊

But if you struggle to eat breakfast then don’t, many of our members eat twice a day at lunch & dinner

If you haven’t already then please see Pinned Posts here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

especially the Welcome Newbies and the Security Post.

This is a very busy forum with lots going on but feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Best Wishes in your weight loss journey

Indigo 😊

I rarely eat an early breakfast usually 11-12 as a brunch.

Eggs scrambled with smoked salmon, poached with spinach or avocado, or just dippy boiled. I only have toast if I'm desperate and if so I have it with real butter or a lower sugar wholenut butter .

If in a rush I whizz a banana in the blender with a dollop of Greek yoghurt + some choc flavour protein powder .

My breakfasts have evolved somewhat as I've gone from weight loss to weight maintenance. When I had a lot of weight to lose, I used to get up an hour early and prepare a big breakfast: eggs, bacon, and mushrooms, a small salad or some veg, a smallish serving of Greek yogurt, and coffee with cream. I had a smallish lunch (usually salad) and then I'd eat a main meal at 6-7pm.

I still have the large late meal, but like elliebath I've drifted towards a late brunch, and no lunch as such. Brunch can be all sorts of things, depending on where I am, what I'm doing, and what's on hand; sometimes I'll still have the fry-up, sometimes I'll have something that looks like lunch (say, a salad-and-meat wrap), occasionally just coffee and a croissant.

Honestly, I would avoid things like cereals, porridge and toast. All of these have an enormous glycemic index and tilt your metabolism towards fat storage rather than fat loss. If you're bored with them anyway, it should be no loss to dump them.
