Low Carbing It!

Hey everyone - can’t believe the weekend is nearly over again! Anyhoo, just thought I’d say hi - me and my husband are low carb dieting - so far we’ve both lost 13lbs each - trouble is everything that’s tastes so good is so full of carbs! I’ll post progress on here and any tips I think are useful if you’re thinking about a similar diet.

Hi fellow low carbers, wow 13lbs is excellent, well done ! Im the opposite to you, I think the high fat stuff is lush after not being able to have it for years! :-) x

You'll find there are lots of members here with a lot of experience of following the low carb approach and I agree with Lytham , I think it's a very tasty way of eating, as well as very satisfying.

The forum is set up for two-way interaction rather than blogging and you'll get the best out of it if you join in forum activities, chat and share your ideas there. I recommend joining a weekly weigh in on the day of your choice and using the Daily Diary, where members log their meal plans for the following day. Here's the one for tomorrow which got going a couple of hours ago. Have a browse and join in whenever you're ready healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... You'll see there are plenty of low carbers and plenty following other plans.

That's a great achievement, well done! I have reduced my bread intake by 75% in the last 3 weeks for a 5lb loss, and will keep going.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Been a bit naughty this weekend as had friends over and drank beer and worse than that - ate bread!!!!! Don’t know which I feel worse about! We’ll see when I go for my my run tomorrow! Doing the C25K programme and if anyone thought they really aren’t cut out for running, and appreciate for all sorts of reasons lots of people can’t, but if you can it’s a great way to compliment diet with exercise which is accessible and doesn’t cost the earth like gym memberships.
