Danger zone - getting too close to the goal

Hope you've had a lovely weekend and managed to recharge fully :)

I did quite well the past few weeks and am now at the point where I usually (4 times in a row in the last 4 months) lose motivation and give up. It's the time where I can really see the finish line - my goal weight and body fat level and stop doing so well.

I don't think it's because I'm tired, as it didn't take much effort to get here. I think it's all in my head but don't know how to keep the same mindset that got me here. Any tips?

Omg, i am the same (not at the moment as I've piled the weight on again). But when i get to the last few pounds it all unravels.

Following this for tips!

Thank you 🤗

I guess it's just a matter of being strong and not letting small things get in your way. After a week these two 'cheat' meals won't matter much.

I like to think of the Pareto principle: 20% of your actions account for 80% of what you achieve. So eveyr good decision is worth way more than the bad ones :)

Congrats on getting so close to your goal.

As StillConcerned has mentioned, the technical side of how it works needs to be looked at.

Additionally, there is a Maintainers' Club here that meet on the first Sunday of every month. You can find the thread under 'Pinned Posts' and is a good way of providing and receiving support from people who are in the same situation as yourself.

Oh thanks a lot for this, science is always welcome, after all losing & maintainign weight is pure maths. It's really scary to think that I might never be able to not think about what I eat, but I guess that's the price we pay. At least I'll be healthy and look fit :)

I'm still on my low calorie diet plan but will have this in mind for when I (hopefully) reach my goal weight :).

Are you in the maintainers club too? How did you manage to get through the last phase of your weight loss journey?

Well done, that's even more difficult than measuring everything! :)

Have a lovely and successful week!

How about having a session with your friends, trying to lose weight is hard but maintaining is also hard. I talk to my friends at my church, but the other day I was proud of myself, I resisted going to the fish and chip shop with them. I told them we can celebrate when I lose another stone, maybe by Christmas.

My partner is the one who really helps me stay focused and motivates me. But I always somehow drift back to eating a lot of food. I try to resist it but it's stronger than me... :(
