No, you don't need to count calories when you're following a lchf plan - that's another benefit :)

These may be useful to you

dietdoctor.com/low-carb - have a good look around this site

Here's the forum specifically for lchf healthunlocked.com/lchf-diet - you'll get plenty of help there

Hiya Mia! LCHF works for me! I had been trying for a couple of years to get back to 5:2 diet (as it worked like a charm about three years ago) But I kept failing, because I just kept getting really hungry! (that didn't happen last time)

I joined here and tried LCHF and it was great! I now have done LCHF (since Mid March)

I found that, after a few weeks, I no longer got so hungry and not only could I do a 5:2 along with it, but could do proper water fasting on the fast days, I don't have all the calorie counting (unless I feel like doing a quick check on them) and feel great!

Sometimes it can take a little time to get adjusted to it. but if you give it a few weeks, you will see if it works well for you.

Good luck!👍

I've been slowly building towards lchf for a fair few months now. I gradually reduced carbs and still calorie counted.

I stopped calorie counting a couple of weeks ago and my first weigh-in since then is tomorrow :O

I'm just trying to say that you can dive right in but there's usually a way of finding other ways if that's what suits you.
