Went to my GP as I'd been 6 years with type 2 diabetes and felt I was running out of time to change the future at 62 years. I was referred for the "Healthy Heart, Healthy Weight Intervention programme" - a weekly meet for lifestyle changing/dietary information with an hourly session of aerobic activity. I met people like me floundering with diets, weight and health issues, all different ages, backgrounds etc. But we have a common purpose and in 2 months I am no longer type 2, have lost a stone and a half and feel so much better. It will be great to have you aboard :)

This welcome post explains how the forum works and how to find your way around healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... I recommend joining a weekly weigh-in on the day of your choice, and using the Daily Diary for meal planning. They're both very interactive and members will appreciate you replying to them, as I see you have already been doing :)

The What's Happening? thread is a place to drop in for a chat. It runs from Monday to Sunday and is updated with all the activities you can join with their hosts. I'll give you the link and you can do some exploring healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

We've found that active participation is a great boost to motivation and commitment. You don't need to post, just join in with chats, ask questions, share your experiences and we all benefit from it :)

Wishing you well in your ongoing journey
