Well did my first full proper day yesterday aimed for 1300 calories and managed with -48 and a bunch of grapes over. πŸ˜‡ Went to bed feeling not bloated or hungry and quite happy. Am tracking using MFP and husband is as well. He made us porridge with a few walnuts and almond milk and I been drinking lots of water and mint tea hence a stop at every loo location on our 5000 step walk, which I will add to on the treadmill later for my 10000 target 🎯

So homemade soup and ryvita for lunch and salmon and cauliflower rice and a Greek salad with a couple of fruit snacks to use my Calories up today.

There is a pack of Jaffa cakes and chocolate biscuits lurking in the garage fridge but if I have any calories left this evening I may treat us....if not they can test my willpower another day. πŸ˜‡

Have a healthy day everyone πŸ₯°

Hi Merchandiser, how did you decide on that 1300 figure? It sounds pretty low but maybe you're short and don't have a lot to lose.

If this isn't the case, I suggest you take your calorie range from the NHS BMI calculator nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-we... Mfpis great for logging food and exercise but is very stingy with calories. See what this gives each of you and aim for the upper end of the range.

Happy walking!

The nhs said 1480 to 1903 sticking to lower end for 1 to 2 lbs a week. I set myself 1300 but the extra bit of fruit or possibly miscalculation will probably be about right. If I struggle will increase it or if I get exercise obsessed πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I will up my calories 😎

1300 isn't the lower end, it's nearly 200 below the lower end :o I would suggest you aim for around 1700, then you'll feel fuller, you'll be in control and those Jaffas won't sneak up on you :D This might explain better than me healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Have you had a look at the Daily Diary yet? It's really helpful for meal planning, firstly because once you put something "in writing" you somehow feel more committed and also because you can pinch ideas and get helpful feedback. Here's a link to today's: maybe have a browse for a couple of days and join in when you're ready healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
