Six stone to lose and scared. Surgery coming up in two months so I want to feel fitter. I have an active job but it doesn't help that much and it's shifts. Just want the slim old me back and to feel a bit healthier.

Welcome Flygirl.

Surgery can be scary even when we know that the doctors know what they're doing.

When it comes to eating the right things at the right time, shifts can definitely be a problem, which is why you'll find that many people here learn to plan in advance. I use the Daily Diary to help keep on the straight and narrow :)

Eating sensibly and healthy the right way is a full time job. My suggestion would be to make this forum a regular part of that job to help you along the way.

All the best and good luck! :)

Anticipating surgery is scary, but keep reminding yourself about the positive benefits you'll get from it. Tiggerr is absolutely right, planning meals (and snacks) and shopping is a great start. Using the forum and weighing in regularly is very encouraging too - you're not alone!
