Welcome Parry. The fact that your weight problem is causing you health problems means that you have a strong “why”, a strong motivation to lose the weight. And that is really a very good place to start.

I would recommend getting started by using the NHS weight loss plan nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-we... and joining one of the weekly weigh-ins on this forum, perhaps the weigh-in for Saturday healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... would fit you?

Smoking is detrimental to your health. Don’t go back there. 🚭

Good morning, parry1956, and welcome.

Of course you were right to give up smoking. It's now about putting that same determination and care for yourself to finding a healthy way of eating for life.

This newbie welcome pack will help you find your way around healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

I would recommend joining a weigh in on the day of your choice.

Please also read this about privacy and security online, particularly as you have left your post unlocked healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Best wishes for your first week

Dear parry

PLEASE SEE YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY ABOUT YOUR REGULAR CHEST PAINS.

Well done for giving up smoking. Tackling the eating will be the same so I know you can do it!

Best wishes, but see your doc!

Good Morning Parry

First Steps are the way , I

AGREE WITH 13 VALERIE ,PLEASE SEE YOUR DOCTOR

ALSO WELL D0NE ON GIVING UP SMOKING ! I DID AND AND THE TEAM HERE CAN BE SO MARVELLOUS . x

Parry. There also seems to be a correlation between giving up smoking and thyroid problems becoming apparent, if you are also tired it would be worth you posting your latest blood results on thyroiduk. Thyroid illness is very commonly undiagnosed when it should be.
