Hi all,

I’ve been a member for a while now and been lurking in the background whilst doing my thing and steadily losing weight.

Started at 103kg on January 12th 2018, and finally made of (the top end) my goal on December 13th 2018 of 72.7kg.

The revelation to me is that’s there’s really no secret to it (in my case anyway, we are all different I realise) I’ve done what I always knew I had to - eat healthy and move more.

There too many things to list which have improved in my life, but I suppose what I wanted to say was, you can do it. We all can, with differing approaches which suit us of course.

I’m now managing this beast and have ‘discharged’ myself from my local Lifestyle Hub as of last Saturday. I feel like I’ve just ripped off my L plates and passed my test!

I wish each and every one of you the success which you deserve and I’ll continue to lurk on the sidelines.

This my new life, my brilliant future 😊

It has! As well as my hair, skin and sleeping habits. All improved so much! Not to mentioned my mental state of mind. I’ve not had a single day of feeling negative or down since I began this. Feel so upbeat and motivated all the time. It’s bloomin fab!

Hiya. It’s a referral I had through my GP. The hub is a moral support most of all but can help with support in counselling, mindfulness and nutrition advice, amongst many other things. I just went met up with my advisor every six weeks or so, one to one (don’t do the group thing) at a local cafe meeting room and talked (am good at that bit). Getting on the scales was optional but I always did and thankfully I always lost. It wasn’t just chat about my new lifestyle but about me and how I was feeling. I lead the entire conversation.

I did take up the offer of one useful thing, and had a qualified nutritionist call me every week, on a day and time of my choosing, for eight weeks. That helped me to ensure I got the right amount of carbs/protein/fats etc in my diet and more.

I highly recommend seeing your GP to see if there’s a similar scheme in your area.

Ultimately the work was mine to do, but the help can be out there if you look hard enough.
