Gave up alcohol (90% of the time lol), ate lots of BLTs (less bacon, huge salad), gave up working night shift and tried to think about what I was consuming, did I want it? Was I hungry? Would a coffee do?

Make little swaps like Pringles for a bag of Frazzles (saves 100 calories), eat what you want but listen to your body, it WILL tell you that you are getting full, this in turn leads to better portion control.

I couldn't excerise due to ill health, I'm only just walking any real distance, yet by making little (life long) changes 10st has disappeared.

You will have bad days when you need chocolate or a kebab, have them.....but smaller ones and enjoy it.

Don't ever feel guilty, if that Maccy D breakfast was too hard to turn down then enjoy it but have a BLT and veg curry the rest of the day.

I worked out that dumping one Kit Kat a day for a year equates to not eating ANYTHING for 18 days........such a small change.

You are fab! What’s great about this answer for me is your honesty. Real life long changes really do need you to think carefully about your choices I don’t want sleepwalk through my food choices any more.

Great piccie! When we start our weight loss journey I think we have all kinds of plans in our head for how it will feel to lose weight / be slimmer. But alongside the weight loss come all sorts of other benefits that we didn’t even dream of. I too found myself - a happier, more self-assured individual. And it just keeps on getting better!

Dear Bubbalicious,

Your answer above to Sarahjane79 just soopa. Just the right mix of it's-blinking-difficult-but-I'm-going-to-do-it diet changes and the right sort of self-forgiveness which allows for the odd square of chocky and a cup of scrummy coffee rather than the giant breezeblock of choc with three cans, all too easily enjoyed by the telly .

Most of us have been there and it's really good to hear a success story which seems to have been healing mind as well as body.

p.s. Loving the titfer.... All power to your Wit and Sense of Style. BB x
