I started my weight loss journey 2 months ago buy eating healthy and exercising and I have been getting compliments on how I have lost weight. So I think hitting the gym and be careful of what you eat is kinda a good way. With time you will like it.👍🏼

Hi. Personally I have found the 5:2 diet works. It is totally free, does not involve buying anything special and yes you can have your cake (fries, pizza etc) and eat it!

You can Google more on the subject but the basic principle is you eat normal for five days a week then on two you 'fast'. You can have up to 500 calories on those two days.

The two days are usually Monday and Thursday so you can eat normal weekend. But you can change it as you like and you can move your day if you have a social event. So long as you do it two times a week.

I am not a healthy eater and I dislike salads and most veg and fruit so other diets are terrible for me! It's therefore not so much a healthy diet (unless you are a healthy eater) but it does work losing weight!

If you look at it mathematically, say you normally have 2000 calories a day. That is 14000 in a week. But on two days you only have 500 calories not 2000. So now you are having 11000 a week.

You could do the same by cutting calories every day to 1500 or so. But then you feel fed up counting every day and watching what you eat. If it's only two days you have to be strong its way easier. Not easy... But easier!

And I swear to you it worked! I lost 14lbs at 1-2lbs a week roughly. And if I failed it was because of myself and my willpower. But it's worked when I've gone back on it.

However I did reach a plateau where I couldn't seem to shift below that 14lb loss and I've started a week ago to do brisk walking everyday. First for 20 mins and now 30 mins.

This so far along with the 5:2 has rocketed my loss this week to 3lbs and my weigh day is tomorrow so could be more!

I wanted to do the couch to 5k jogging but it injured my leg and walking is doing the trick just fine! I love putting on my headphones, music, sport bra and trainers and getting lovely fresh air for 30 mins after work every day! And twice on weekends!

I know it's a cliche, diet and exercise to lose weight lol... But these two combined cost nothing and are easy to do and you CAN lose weight whilst still having a takeaway here and there and eating chocolate and other goodies! :)
