Has anyone ever taken a break from the gym? Circumstances have me laid up at home until at least the middle of next week. But I think about getting back into it This sucks!

I haven’t been able to go for 2 weeks and it’s been awful ! Can’t wait to go back. It’s amazing how a swim or a gym class can boost your mood and keep you on track.

I can feel your frustration 😕 it depends upon the circumstances though. If you’re injured or unwell then rest is important. If it’s life getting in the way, then maybe a little creative thinking could help, exercising at home/brisk walking/step climbing/dancing round the living room etc 😊

Do you need to get to the gym or exercise?

Can you exercise without going to the gym?

My Niece had a boyfriend who was a personal trainer... and I told him I went to the gym twice a week: he looked at me (19 Stone then) incredulously, and I then told him I went to the gym to teach (my late wife had a ballet, tap and Gym school).

I was active, cycling 15,000 miles a year, but now I am disabled, and exercise is not using the "rise" function on my rise-and-recline!

Adjusting my appetite from 4,000 calories a day to 1000 - 1500 took a while!

It's hard for me because I am so used to the machines. I usually walk around the block every night though.
