Toning Tables

Hi, there is all this talk about getting active so I would like to know if going on toning tables counts at all?

I use them as a form of physiotherapy.

Any informed answers gratefully received.

I don’t really know much about whether they count as being active or not. Perhaps someone else will know.

Do you want to lose weight too?

I used one after a road accident, but not sure if they count as exercise. Are you seeing a physiotherapist? They would be the best ones to ask for advice 😊

I suspect it depends on how active you are on the table. From what I know about them, you can lie there passively and let the machine do all the work, or you can actively engage your muscles and allow the machine to guide, rather than push you.

If you’re very passive then I would personally say no, but if you’re actively engaging then yes, I’d say that’s a form of strength exercise. To go with it, if you can, you might also want to do some cardio exercise during the week. A brisk walk does the job.

Good luck with it.

Used these years ago lost inches but not weight; so i would say they are passive exercises and you would need some cardio as well,? walking or swimming for fitness or weight loss
