Well I am finding I have not been too good in 2018. One week I am really hungry and the next I am really good with my eating, and as a result one week my weight is heading back to 189lbs, i.e. less than 190lbs, and the next week I am back up to 193lbs.

Now don’t get me wrong I started at 200lbs so have lost a lot, and am happy with myself and my weight, even at 200lbs I was happy. I just did not want to go any heavier than 200lbs and that was my first incentive.

At the age of 17 I was between 168lbs and 171lbs and I know at the age of 51 I will never get back down to that, but through my twenties and thirties I did not rise much above 175lbs. It was only when I hit 38 when I was seriously ill and had to be pumped full of steroids to keep my lungs working that I hit 189lbs. It has been my driver to try and get my weight back down towards the 180lb mark, even though the health professionals are not too bothered. The big issue at the back of my mind is my health and trying to keep that balanced with my desire to lose a little weight.

No doubt many of you feel the same way. Like I say though … you are loved irrespective of how you look or feel. The importance of this forum is a HEALTHY LIFESTYLE … it is not a freaky diet website.

So this week’s song is a reflection on how I feel at the moment …

I'm like a rubber ball

Baby that's all that I am to you

(Bouncy, bouncy) (bouncy, bouncy)

Just a rubber ball

'Cause you think you can be true to two

(Bouncy, bouncy) (bouncy, bouncy)

You bounce my heart around

(You don't even put her down)

And like a rubber ball

I come bouncin' back to you

Rubber ball, I come bouncin' back to you

If you stretch my love till it's thin enough to tear

I'll just stretch my arms to reach you anywhere

And like a rubber ball, I'll come bouncin' back to you

Rubber ball, I'll come bouncin' back to you

You bounce my heart around (You don't even put her down)

And like a rubber ball, I come bouncin' back to you

Rubber ball, I come bouncin' back to you

Ah-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

(Bouncy, bouncy) (bouncy, bouncy)

(Bouncy, bouncy) (bouncy, bouncy)

I'm like a rubber band

When on my shoulder you do tap

(Bouncy, bouncy) (bouncy, bouncy)

Just a rubber band

Because my heartstrings, they just snap

(Bouncy, bouncy) (bouncy, bouncy)

You go and squeeze me till I'm all aflame

(She calls you by some other guy's name)

But like a rubber ball, I come bouncin' back to you

Rubber ball, I come bouncin' back to you

Hi Johnny-One

I hope you get nearer to the 180 mark given time.. You are right about this not being for faddish diets...

I guess I should weigh as I need to know but it is so scary! also know that this place and these terrific people will not judge so I WILL do it as soon as it is daylight in texas which will be about 4 more hours so thanks Johnny !!!!
