I’m Dani 31, I’ve decided to give this a go as I’ve been doing slimming world for a while and seemed to have lost my way! I’m starting the the couch to 5k tomorrow too. Got my running shoes 👟 ready! Haha I am looking forward to my journey. I quit smoking 6 weeks ago so I need to gain some new healthier habits 😃

Welcome to this fab forum, my tip would be to try and cut down on processed foods including refined carbs. Any carbs you do have make sure you weigh them as portion distortion is a mistake I have certainly made in the past 🤗

I lost 1 stone 7 lbs from September to December by doing that. It’s calories in v calories out.
The big companies out there which I’ve tried basically do that but either in points or sins. They are also a business.
Sign up to my fitness pal - free, and start logging everything that goes past your lips.
Then you need to create new habits, like hitting a min if 10000 steps a day, drinking at least 2 litres of water.
Seriously it works and Iam back to doing that this week after a couple of weeks of not counting calories.
I can’t exercise much as I have a bulging disc . But I will start when I can as I miss it. If you include exercise you will lose faster. And remember to up your protein. Keeps you fuller for longer.
