Weight Loss NHS

Any good weight loss plane example for the weeK?

I am diabetic type 2, hypertensive but in treatment for both diseases. 129Kg for 173 cm is definitely overweight. I entered the bariatric surgery program, because I did millions of diets without success. Now I would like to follow the 12 week NHS program, but I would need some examples for the week with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Can someone help me in this?

Happy New Year to all!!!

Hi, welcome! Have you had the surgery?

Hi Thanks for the welcome!

No not yet, is a long process and I think should be at some point between March and June, my goal is loose weight :-)

And if you lose weight then hopefully you won’t need it! I would go low carb, cut out unprocessed stuff. Don’t starve yourself as you can’t maintain it. Good luck and hope you find it useful. I have been here a year and have found it really helpful and supportive!

Thanks for your suggestion, is there any weekly schema for the low-carb?

Hi and welcome, fbanespo :)

I suggest you log onto the Daily Diary, for menu ideas and check out our recipes in Topics.

I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link

You'll find all the information you need to navigate the forum in the header, so please take the time to read it carefully.

Wishing you all the best :)

Hi fbanespo,

Check out DietDoctor online. There is lots of free information on that site about Low Carb and reducing T2D symptoms. Once you're familiar with it you can check out lots of other sites and talks.... all free on YouTube. Just have a look ... basically quit sugar, and all foods that turn to sugar once they're eaten, (bread, rice, pasta, potato)

I did lchf (low carb, healthy fat) for 12 months and lost lots of weight, over the last 15months I have been slack and have been eating indiscriminately.. therefore have regained.. So it's back to the forums and internet, see if I can find my mojo again :)

There is LCHF Diabetes forum on this HealthUnlocked site too, the people on there are extremely helpful and friendly.

Best of luck,

Yvonne
