Hi

Am new to this group looking to lose weight i do find it hard i tend to eat when am stress out then feel bad cause had too.much junk food in my head i kniw can lose wight just make a start

Yeah I'm in the same boat!! I could do with lots of tips for stress eating.. look forward to seeing the replies.

I don't get stressed much, but when I get upset I lose my appetite - so can't offer suggestions.. but with the power in numbers I am sure you will get responses or find similar posts you can relate to..

Have a good slow read of the newbie post... I call it the sat-nav to the forums benefits!!

Hello and welcome, katherinelouise .

I've found that planning meals a couple of days in advance (a week if possible but I've never quite stuck to that!) has helped me focus. I've had to learn to count calories which has been an eye opener both ways - how many calories there are in some things and how few there are in others. I've actually enjoyed trying new recipes and new foods so it hasn't been a drag and I don't feel deprived. As I live on my own, there's no-one to blame if there's rubbish in the house except me :)
