Hey everybody! I’m returning to your warm and encouraging arms in the knowledge that you’ll welcome me back to the fold and you will all help me shed some more weight in 2018.

I joined the Weight Loss and C25K Forums in Jan 2017 at 15:4 and have seen 13:3 at some point during the year – can’t remember when, but it did happen! Honest! I was running at least 3x a week after completing the C25K, had joined a local Athletics Club and was really enjoying the slimmer, fitter me. I could pick a size 16 top and size 14 bottoms off the shelf, my bra size reduced by 2 cups and I couldn’t wait to do some sort of exercise every day.

And then, well sh** happens doesn’t it! I fell in mid September whilst running with the dogs on the bungee lead. I sprained both ankles, and really hurt my knee, elbow and hip on my left side. :( I didn’t run or go for walks for 6 weeks and in the meantime started a new job in mid October. I sit all day now, and that combined with eating the same as I was when I was doing all that exercise has culminated in gathering another stone! Damnation! How did I forget that feeling of elation when the weight is going down! I also stopped taking part in the Weight Loss and C25K Forums – BIG MISTAKE!!!!! I am once again running twice a week with the AC, but it is getting to be such a struggle with that stone back one. I also think I’ve started with the menopause and exercise and shedding weight is supposed to help.

So……….here I am again, and here’s my New Year’s Resolve!!

1.I will rejoin the Monday Mass Movers

2.I will check in at least daily with the Weight Loss Forum

3.I will not eat crisps – whoever invented them should have been tarred and feathered!

What's everyone else's plan for 2018?

PS On a plus note, I did run over 500km last year..........

Thanks IndigoBlue61 I am going to slowly gather momentum over the next few days, so that I can launch into 2018 with gusto!!! Thankfully we did't get many chocs/bix for Christmas, so only the ham and turkey to finish off really, Oh and some cheese, which I'm having with some crackers at the mo! Looking forward to the buzz that I get when I'm not bursting at the seams...xx

Keep focusing on the positives as you are and all will be well. This time last year I believe we were both starting off on c25k and you have gone on to complete 500km, I’ve done half marathons, 24hour runs .... all in one year. There’s no telling what we will go on to achieve in 2018. The setbacks make the achievements that much sweeter.
