And so it begins...

...It seems very clichèd to do the whole healthy eating/fitness/weightloss at this time of year but it just the time to start this. Being overweight is a mental and physical burden I don’t want to bear any longer. Wish me luck and perseverance.

Good morning Nanny53 and welcome to the Weight Loss Forum

There is never a wrong time to make changes that will affect your health, and I know you won’t be alone in waking up this morning feeling the after effects of a rather indulgent day!

I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

You'll find all the information you need to navigate the forum in the header and a link to the 12 week plan, so please take the time to read it carefully.

I especially recommend the Daily Diary where we plan our meals, and a few of us are there today trying to plan sensible meals for today 😊

Wishing you all the best

Anna

You are absolutely right Nanny53 countless studies show that being part of a group makes weight loss much more achievable 😊

We encourage all our members to check in as often as they are able, daily if possible, to read and reply to others.

Very best wishes

I thought it was clichéd to join on Jan 1 of this year but it doesn't matter when you start as long as you don't stop. I know what you mean about the mental and physical burdens and they are my motivators for not going back to 'the bad old days'.

For what it's worth, today is a new Day 1 for me but I'm starting in a much better position than before.

Welcome, stay in touch and together we will help each other to our goals.

Hi and welcome to the community. Good luck.

Welcome to the right place. I am at that point as well. I have been a dieter since I was 16 and I am 54 now. The best thing I did was I joined these great group of people. I want to eat healthy to feel good. Everybody has there food program and you need to choose one that fits you. And going back to the gym that fits me mentally to feel good about oneself. I know you can do this a new day and a new year for you. Reach for that fruit and your sneakers and go for it and do not let go. This is your year 2018. you can reach your goals. and you need help please let us know. Best wishes on your journey!!!
