Oh no,not again!

Can’t believe ( Well I can really ) but I’ve eaten a hideous amount of food and will not be braving the scales for at least 2 weeks! Seriously though, I feel a bit downhearted and defeated; does anyone else feel like this, or am I just a miserable git? PS note to self, never touch a sprout again......

Good morning Su333 and welcome to the Weight Loss Forum

I think there are quite a few people feeling exactly like you do this morning!! You can’t un-eat all the food, but you can remember this feeling and use it the next time you feel tempted by an extra portion! 😊

I also know your not alone in trying to have a sensible few days before the weekend.

I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link

You'll find all the information you need to navigate the forum in the header and a link to the 12 week plan, so please take the time to read it carefully.

Wishing you all the best

Anna

Hi Su333 , I've decided the opposite - I'm going to weigh myself every day this week instead of being pretty conscientious about just weighing once a week.

To paraphrase IndigoBlue61 , what's done is done, so concentrate on future decisions. Don't stay in downhearted mode; you can make the changes that you need :)

Don't feel downhearted Su333 Years of ingrained behaviour, coupled with media and social pressure can be overcome in time but it's not a war that's necessarily going to be won in a single battle.

Hi I feel the same. I am thought I was the only one myself. I am going to weigh in the second Monday of January. I started eating better on Boxing day. I hate humongous amount of food. But do not feel defeated my friend. Get back on track. This is a new day and a new year. Take this day and eat healthy foods on your food program. Pick up your sneakers go for a walk or your exercise program. You can start back up and once you start after a couple of days you will feel great and forget the food binge in your past. That's right the past and look towards the future of 2018. Best wishes on your journey.

Thanks Wade, that's cheered me up! Am feeling a bit more optimistic now; it's always a struggle but I'm not giving up.

Hi I’m the same ! Start each day well but by evening have consumed far too much and feel so cross with myself ☹️ So have just signed up on this site for similar moral support..
