Gave up Ketogenic diet

I just read about possible side effects of Ketogenic diet and stopped it after 12 months. I don’t want to put on the weight I have lost back on and I now want to loose more weight through healthy eating and lifestyle.

Hi and welcome

I would like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out, or re-starting.

If you just post a few words on the December Newbie Club thread to introduce yourself and respond to others there you will soon feel part of the club.

Follow this link to the Newbie club: healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Please read all the information carefully, it is very useful and can be referred to whenever you want to check something.

It just remains for me to wish you well on your journey

:)

Hi, how much did you lose? Well done for sticking to any kind of diet for so long. Hopefully you will find a lifestyle you can maintain that keeps your weight down.

If you can let me know your start weight and your weight now I can arrange a weight loss badge for you - it will sit underneath your week 1 badge ☺

You've come to the right place and cracker has supplied you with a link on how best to achieve your goals of creating a healthy lifestyle.

Try and join in here as much as possible and you will more likely pick things up more quickly.

If you lost weight over those 12 months, I'm sure you could get an equivalent badge if you make admins aware :)

Best of luck!

Edited: Just noted your reply to Ella and if I'm right, maybe Hidden can help you out with that badge :)

I think Atkins said that because metabolic illness distorts the metabolism, the diet to rectify the problem is also skewed. He also envisaged progressing to a more liberal, healthy diet. However, what a healthy diet is is still contentious.
