Getting 'rid of' 8 lb

Yay finally got 'rid of' (not lost as I have no intention of finding it again!!lol) 8lb of weight since the beginning of November.

I started at 12:8 and am now seeing the number 11 on the scale. Ideally I want to get down to 9:7 but I haven't been that for over 10 years, so I would be more than happy with being 10 stone, which is considered a healthy weight for my frame. It feels like it's taking a while for it to come off though (especially when I hear people losing 7lb in a week or 3 stone in a month😳)but slowly and surely I will get there.

Woohoo! 😊🎉. Very well done Skinnymini That’s an excellent weight loss and seeing the 11’s too 😊

I’ve not heard of anyone losing 7lbs of fat in a week!!! Maybe if you have a lot to lose but 1-2 lbs a week is about the most you can lose of actual fat.

Are you part of one of the Daily Weigh-in Groups? There is great support here

Good luck!

Anna

Click on 'Home' and you will see it under 'Events' on the right hand side of a computer screen when you scroll down.

If using a mobby it's at the bottom.

Congratulations Skinnymini that's great news and I appreciate the semantics on not using the word 'lost'... very good point.

I know you will be feeling fantastic to have waved goodbye to the 12s. Brilliant.

Try to live your own life without comparing yourself to others. The only people that are likely to be losing the sort of weight that you mention are almost certainly considerably heavier than you.

You are already losing weight at about the max that is considered safe and practical. Try not to get impatient as there will likely be times when your body won't lose weight so fast and you need to be in a good place when that happens.

You're doing fine.

Owe thank you Tiggerr and Anna that's made me feel great. I know it's healthy as I've tried in healthy ways in the past and it's always come back on again. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment😊x

Loving the "Got rid of" rather than lost - fantastic well done you :)

2lb per week is the advised maximum amount to lose a week to make sure that it can be maintained, yes some lose more in the first week

I am happy with losing 1/2 lb a week or maintaining at least it goes slowly and remains gone :)
