Off to the swimming pool

I have identified a suitable venue and time to go swimming on a regular basis.

I live about 25/30 minutes drive from this place in Maidenhead:

sportsable.co.uk/

and I am off there tonight to meet a swimming coach sportsable.co.uk/sports-act...

Not planning on swimming tonight as I have two clinic sessions tomorrow starting at 9.15am (one hour with an orthotist and an hour with a physio) so feel it would be prudent to conserve my energy for those... but going tonight to meet the coach and watch the session and see the lay of the land (or should I say the "flow of the water"!)

Although it seems a bit late for a swimming session (8 - 10pm), this time on a Sunday would be good as I can come home and fall into bed after a hot shower. It will also mean that I don't eat a big meal beforehand - but perhaps some nuts and dried fruit afterwards. It's also free of charge once I join the club as a member (£50 a year) and I can also try out other sporting activities.

I am going with an open mind to see what's what!

Sounds great Pineapple27 . I go to a session twice a week at 8.40pm for ladies only and I thoroughly enjoy it although I just do breast stroke. Its also free for me as it's at one of the local Community High Schools as I'm over 60. I hope your meeting with the coach goes well and your appointments tomorrow .🏊‍♀️

Hi Pineapple 27, I hope you enjoy. I think water can have a calming affect. Great for physical and mental health.

Hope your clinic goes well tomorrow.

Sounds interesting Pineapple27. I enjoy swimming (tho' you'd never guess from how (in)frequently I go) but I'm put off by cold weather and dealing with multi-layers of clothes in winter
