Well today I used my Soup Maker - cabbage soup. Oh my goodness it is beautiful!!! And entirely fat free. 500g savoy cabbage, 1 green pepper, 2 cloves garlic, I onion, 750ml veg stock. This is all!!!!! I swear it is both delicious and filling. X

I can't even describe how easy they are! We have a local Delicatessen where they sell beautiful soups in the winter. The soup I made ( or rather Mr Soup Maker) was superior to theirs!!!! XX I am eating my 5 a day as well as it being excellent for calorie counting and all with a beautiful taste and filling!!!!!X You must get a Soup Maker !!!!

If you have a pressure cooker and Liquidizer or Hand Blender it will do the same thing to save you the expense of another gadget taking up space in your kitchen when the novelty (as it often does with things like that)wears off The soup sounds good I will definitely be making Yum Yum

Do you add any protein? Sounds good, & I think soup makers are great. I've a KING PRO. Best £70 I've spent in a long time. Makes soup in 25 min. Slow cooker and pressure cooker also steams! Great thing with soup ,you can throw anything in there. If your looking for weight loss, It would work better WITH protein, filling for longer.

I agree with Aly74 above. Adding protein and fats, (for example cream, or chicken, or cheese) will make the soup a complete meal.

Times have changed and Low Fat is not necessarily a balanced option.

Made some today , very nice. I just used a saucepan & blitzed it with a stick mixer. I added some Parmesan when I served it.
