Hi I'm Amanda, I can't stop eating chocolate. I joined slimming world last year and lost one and a half stone but put it all back on. I just can't stop. The craving gets so bad I have to eat some and I do mean some. One bar will not satisfy the craving it has to be at least 2 family bars. I try to buy less but it's not enough. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've tried hot chocolate and dark chocolate but still can eat and drink loads. Help please x

Welcome Amandaperfect chocolate is indeed a demon addiction. Have you tried 90% cacao chocolate. Not so sweet and quite delicious.

You are not alone join club. I am chief offender. I believe only solution is to treat it as an alcoholic treats drink. Choose a day when you are not stressed and pamper yourself in anyway other than eating chocolate. You will have withdrawal pains for a few days but in my experience complete abstinence is only way. There is a book sugar detox maybe that would help. Good luck

A friend was told by gp that sugar is so toxic that it increases depression. I really do hope that you succeed and I will be thinking of you all the best. Go for it

I agree with rossie1942 . Cold turkey is probably the best for a few weeks. It'll be tough but the cravings should stop after a few days.

Well I'm half way through the day and haven't eaten any chocolate. The worst part of the day for me is between 7-9 though. Haven't got dressed today, I find if I go out I buy chocolate. I really hope I can beat this addiction x
