Hello, an update…

Hi, I haven't posted in a while. I've been getting on okay, I suppose. I've been exercising everyday, and eating between 1,700-2,100 calories per day. I haven't lost any weight, my weight has stayed the same. I'd be lying if I said I don't feel sadness. I do feel sad that I haven't accomplished anything since the last time I visited this forum.

At this point, I'm so emotionally drained that I cannot weep over this as much as I would have 5 months ago. That would mean I actually had some fire left in me, and that I am frustrated over the situation. That's not where I am. I simply feel hopeless and tired, physically and mentally. Oh, well. I don't know what I expected.

The side effects from the antidepressant (Sertraline/Zoloft) have worn off. I don't feel any different to how I did 2 weeks ago, but I'll have to wait a little longer I guess!

I'm going to try visiting here more. I haven't been doing so lately, but to my defense, I've been unusually busy, lol.

Hey DiDiZia you have lost 2 stone already - so well done :)

I would like to make a suggestion - go and do the NHS BMI calculator with your new weight as you will find the calorie range will have changed :)

Wishing you a great week and hope to see you here more ;)

We are all spurring you on :)

Good to hear from you again DiDiZia Welcome back.

Cracker10 may have a point about checking the BMI calculator again. You've lost a considerable amount of weight already and that may have changed your requirements.

Once you've done that, whatever the result, why not join the Daily Diary. Just about to hop on it myself and post my Saturday menu.

Think of it as a pause while you recover yourself.

Don't aim for a big change- just some weeny steps. I am the queen of long maintenance pauses...so i do know how you feel.

Maybe do that BMI check. Maybe check out my fitness pal and load in some food diaries to see your calorie intake.

Not forgetting you shiny badge- 2 stone is no mean feat. Have a quiet re group - and in your own time rejoin us:-)

Take care and go easy on yourself.

I'm 258lbs. According to the calculator, my allowance range is around 2,000-2,500 calories. I don't know what's going on. I don't know if it's the antidepressant making me gain or stagnate. I look a lot fatter, too.

I would just go with concentrating on one day at a time getting the food and nutritional value in good balance ... don't think to much in the future it will be demotivating and overwhelming

Maybe see if you consume calories at lower end and as healthy as you can?

I went through a weighing food recently - easy to portion creep.

I have one simple aim each week - to weigh less than I did the previous week or just maintain

Good luck - remember baby steps😁

Good to hear from you - the winter months are not conducive to slimming or to too much cheerfulness, though Xmas coming up is at least one positive. Keep going and pop in now and then - we are all routing for you,
