Apron Belly Fat

Okay. So I had 2 kids in very quick succession. Both were only 6lb 15oz each but they appeared to require the biggest straight out bumps ever. Add to that the resulting horrendous stretch marks and a bit of weight gain and I have a belly flap of doom. 😱

I am aware that targeted excercise such as crunches are pointless - tones the muscles underneath but the fat above remains and hides all that hard work. My tummy muscles are actually pretty good.

Any advice on shifting it? Do I just need to carry on losing weight and eating well and it will melt away? Or am I stuck with my flappy friend for good?! 😂

I don't want to be the voice of doom and gloom, Nikabi and I don't want to put you off losing weight and exercising, but overstretched skin is never going to go back to what it used to be. Think of a balloon that's been inflated, then deflated. However, your efforts will make a difference and will improve things :)

Yeah, that’s what I thought. I don’t expect it to return to what it was but some improvement would be nice!

Spare skin is not easy to deal with after chidbirth or after weightloss. ( Ha, I have spare skin under my chin and arms after losing just 2st. 😆😆)

But get yourself to a healthy weight through healthy eating and exercise and then see what you're dealing with.

Ah thank you! It would be nice to get a decent waist measurement with It the flap of doom in the way though! Lol

I had 2 Sections and still have a little overhang with extra skin just over the scar bit.

It's ok as I my knickers cover it but unless I opt for surgery it won't dissapear. Surgery would mean a full scar from hip to hip and costs £5000 or more and that's not worth the money and operation risk.

Pair of knickers will do 😉

Good luck!

Oh and my boys were 10 pounders and I carried everything at front. Looked hilarious at the end 😂

Wow my 2 little ones were enough to carry! I had a lot of fluid in my bump. You should have seen my husbands face when my waters broke! 😂😂😂

Planks with arms and leg movements are good. .loads free on YouTube 🏊..if you swim swim using your pilates poses..eg core muscles..you may not loose all but consistency is the key.
