Weight Loss NHS

happy happy happy!

well, Monday (tomorrow) it will be 3 weeks I have been more conscious of what I put in my mouth and on my plate and I have lost another 2 pounds! I realize that 8 pounds in 3 weeks sounds a little slow but I am doing it and I feel really good about it. I have always heard that if you lose slow, you keep it off longer. if that is true I should be thinner for life! lol. anyway, it is going slow and there are things I need to do that could cause it to be a bit faster but that is ok cuz I do not mind losing slow as long as I am losing. I have been able to go back to work and feel good about that too. I will be looking into exercise I can do now. I have a leg that does not work well and a back that is a little out but I know I will find things to do to push on my weight loss. thanks for all the support ya'll!!

Sounds that you are doing it just right - for you! And that is so important, doing what works for you, what works for you. So well, well done. And back to work is another huge milestone! Be proud. Have a fabulous week.

thank you clare. I am just afraid now I will quit doing what works for me. I will trudge on though, I feel I must. as long as I have a good attitude, I will do what I need to do so here is to hopefully!

"If life seems jolly rotten,

there's something you've forgotten

And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing!" (Monty Python, 1979).

A good attitude means enjoying what you eat. If it's a chore, it will seem a trudge, and that's one of the reasons the vast majority regain any weight.

My own personal opinion is that too many people attempt to lose weight by having an unbalanced way of eating. They have their fill of carbohydrates, which gramme for gramme have less than half the calories of fat, then they want more, so they have more carbohydrates, which gramme for gramme have less... when it's obviously not given them what they need.
