New and its not going so well

Hi

I am on week 4 now and have lost 1lb, so yeah not much! I guess I need some help, I do OK in the week but from Friday to Sunday I am rubbish. I try to do a fair bit of exercise over the weekend but that just makes me tired and then I eat too much I guess. I need to lose 2 stone to be a healthy weight and it seems such a long way off.

Welcome Lenfry

Just checking but when you say 'I guess', are you tracking your calories or does that relate to the tiredness leading to eating? I know... I'm being slow :)

Now you're here, you'll reach your goal.

Hi, I track my calories all week as good as gold and then I swim early Friday morning and then by 3 o'clock in the afternoon I am hungry and tired and then eat and give up tracking. The same on a Sunday I go for a long run and then end up eating sweet things in the afternoon and not tracking as I feel too guilty.

Ok, thanks for explaining.

As Anna61 has mentioned, have you checked your calorie allowance range on the NHS BMI calculator?

It’s a viscious cycle Lenfry tiredness leads to hunger and cravings which really don’t help the tiredness . . . Could you plan better and get out of the cycle? Have a good look around, but especially check your target calories are high enough 😊

Thank you for your reply. I find exercising a lot easier to do than eating well

Hmmm . . . They say you can’t outrun a bad diet . . . It’s so much easier to eat 500 calories than it is to burn it off I’m afraid 😕
