Hello Anona and welcome.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It's clearly effected you.

Be aware that your willpower hasn't vanished because you're here ready to fight to find a healthy lifestyle for yourself. With your determination and the support from the caring, knowledgeable and supportive people here, you will achieve your aims.

When an administrator replies to your post, they will supply a link to information on how you can make steps towards a healthy way of life and how to use this forum to help yourself. I'm sure this sounds melodramatic but reading everything they mention is going to be one of the keys to your success.

All the best.

Thank you for your positive reply, which i guess proves to me, that I can kick myself back into a healthier shape, as I use to be. I had no interest in joining a slimming club, I found a cheaper and fun way of walking and not realise how much exercise I was doing.I saw an ad' for the National Trust,&joined! Cheaper and all their places serve healthy food and parks to walk around, with rivers & scenic for folk that don't want to wander round old historic places or gardens.

Small steps create... giant leaps!

Hi and welcome to the forum :0 sorry to hear of your loss and the scare your GP has given you

I started here just over 14st and have managed to lose over a stone, slowly but steady and have kept it off :) I followed the NHS 12 week plan to do that ;)

I would like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out, or re-starting.

If you just post a few words on the October Newbie Club thread to introduce yourself and respond to others there you will soon feel part of the club.

hello and welcome- I found the NHS 12 week weight loss plan very good- Mentally I don't do well with diets- in my head they are restrictive and I like food too much for that! However this plan is based on calorie counting so my diet has changed all that much- I have reduced my alcohol and crisps intake and have a more balance diet but it hasn't been a drastic change. Its also free which is an added bonus!
