Thirsty Thursday

Well today has been my rest day but sadly I woke up this morning with pains in my left ankle which have hurt during the whole day While walking around. I have been busy all day and will have some ibuprofen when I get home in the next half a hour.

I feel I have pushed myself hard enough this week so far and need today as a rest day otherwise I would of burnout if I pushed myself too hard.

I think my body is kind of speaking to me to hold back a little to recover for the next 2 days before powering on forward so Friday I will not be doing any power walking but I will be watching what I eat and doing a gentle walk to the shops only.

Sadly I kind of caved in last night and had 3 Sausages dipped in my cheese spread.

Call it a midnight snack but I should be trying to avoid this and cut the snacking out but I fell on my own knife on that one 😒

Hopefully carrots and cucumbers too the rescue over the weekend because they saved me last weekend when family members where jumping all over crisps and toffee popcorn.

I like my idea *patent pending* of fiery carrots 🥕

Carrot sticks with chilli and jalapeño put round them.

They really work as a good way to curve your hungry but they do burn a bit when coming out the other end tho to be warned!

Overall I am looking forward too the weekend and reading other people's journeys on here.

Breakfast: cornflakes with sugar.

Lunch 2 sausages, carrots and cucumbers

Dinner: chilli con carne *hot.

Snacks: 3-4 sausages dipped in serious strong cheese spread. 1 sausage is unaccounted for because I can't remember eating it 😂

I think you might well need a rest day to give your ankle time to heal so try and take it easy on it.

We all have those days where we fall off the wagon, just put it behind you and move on. Those carrots of yours certainly sound fiery! I make a winter salad when I want something filling. It is made of raw carrots, white cabbage, cheese and Raisins all finely chopped up and mixed together, my family love it.

Well done with not having any alcohol your doing great. :)

Instead of sugar on your cornflakes why not try some dried fruit or berries.

Eureka on the cornflakes... maybe some apricots maybe dried fruit 👍👍👍 and your salad sounds very interesting and I wouldn't mind trying that when I have more funds/money next week to try new things and more healthy options.. I must say thank you so much for the support on such a negative day for me
