Set yourself challenges! I have just found a 21 days Pilates challenge on YouTube that I have started a couple of days ago and can already begin to feel the change. :) good luck!

Hello Libz

As Maria in Sound of Music would say begin at the beginning.

There is a 12 week diet plan on here so

1. Weigh yourself

3. Measure your height

4. Measure your waist 2 ins above your tummy button. You are aiming to slim to a waist size approx half your height

5. Look on the BMI calculator on here which will tell you how much weight you need to lose to be healthy and how many calories you are allowed to eat a day to lose weight . There are menus and calorie counted recipes

6. Become more active to use more calories. A good free and easy way is to walk fast 10000 steps a day and to take the stairs instead of the lift

7, reduce your carb and sugar intake and stop consumption of any artificially sweetened foods or drinks

8. Count honestly the calories in any food and drink you consume and keep a daily diary either on paper or using an app e.g. My fitness pal or fit bit or similar

9. Give up alcohol until you have lost sufficient weight to allow yourself the occasional glass of red wine

10, be an active member of this forum so you can give and receive support. Research shows being a member of a group increases the chances of success and maintaining your weight loss

So here's to your successful weight loss journey

I have learnt a lot about nutrition since starting my diet 3 months ago and hope it will help others. I am quite evangelical about it because it has so changed my health and vitality and attitude to food. I now try to always choose food which will benefit my health

Thanks also to the support and camaraderie of this forum

Thank you all
