Sesame salmon and broccoli served on a bed of sliced runner beans

Tonight I made this for supper which was very tasty filling and most importantly a hit with my husband

Total calories 348 by my calculations

Brush salmon fillet with sesame oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds and season with salt and pepper and leave to marinate for 30 mins

Meanwhile either microwave the broccoli for 3 mins on high power or steam until slightly soft

Microwave the sliced beans with a small amount of boiling water enough to cover the bottom of the dish 3 mins on full power.

In non stick frying pan brushed with sesame oil cook the salmon steaks until the centre is just cooked adding the pre cooked broccoli spears to the pan and sprinkling them with sesame seeds

Serve the salmon steak on a bed of sliced beans and place the broccolli to the side

Looks good. Do normal supermarkets sell sesame seeds? Will they be in the spices aisle? Sorry, am not very good at this cooking game. As I have now been cooking from scratch for 11 months I am starting to get a bit bored so your salmon looks nice.

Hi Ella

Yes you can get sesame oil and sesame seeds in Sainsbury s and probably any supermarket. It's better to buy the fillet on the fish counter as it will be fresher.

The sesame seeds will be on the spice shelf and possibly also where you get packets of sun flower seeds and pine nuts

It's really simple and quick to make

Don't over cook the fish just pan fry until the middle is cooked and serve immediately,

I like pine nuts... good idea! I have booked an Ocado delivery for this weekend as I had a good offer, will add those bits on. Thanks!! 🐟
