Wtg Jack, you lost that 10 stone which shows that you've got the mental strength and stamina to do it once more.

As per your question how to keep it off... the idea that I and many people here have adopted, is to consider everything as a lifestyle change and not a diet. That is, to employ a way of eating and drinking that is sustainable during weight loss but also afterwards.

Have a look at the NHS 12 week plan which in essence allows you to eat what you like (within reason) by choosing sensible portion sizes.

The admins will supply you with lots more info for you to absorb.

Good luck!

Hi and welcome Jackbailey12394

You've lost 10st before - how did you do that? Keeping it off is what we all want to do :) I hope to maintain (eventually) by following what I have learnt from being on here and doing the 12 week plan, which you can find in the Newbie club thread :)

I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, where you can meet other new members, who are also just starting out. . Here's the link

If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice

I've also given you a week 1 badge.

Wishing you all the best

:)

When I lost weight before, I stopped doing the very things that helped me loose the weight in the first place and slowly bad habits crept back in. For instance I would stop counting calories because I'd think 'I know this now I know x is y calories' etc. This time I've decided to carry on even when I reach my target. I want it to be a life habit not just something I do to lose weight.

I agree with these responses Jackbailey12394

To keep the weight off you have to accept you can never return to the way you ate before 😕 But being slim and healthy is well worth all the effort
