I'm Eating McDonald's…

I'm eating a double cheeseburger and fries, along with some hot wings.

Despite eating as I was before, I gained like over 3lbs. So random. It's brought me to tears more times than I can count. I'm very tired.

I'm back up to 277.2lbs.

Now, I can deal with small bumps along the way, maybe a 1lb or 2lbs gain. But not over 3lbs.

Why eat like a thin person while remaining a fatty? I ask myself this a lot.

I may resume tomorrow, I may not. This along with the stress of student loans is a lot of stress. I'm used to it.

I'll eat and do what I was throughout my journey. If I lose weight, then cool. If I gain, then oh well.

I'm done investing blood, sweat, and tears into something that's unlikely to come into fruition.

Finished my meal now.

I guess this is an early "experimentation" update. 😏

Perhaps. Any losses won't be very satisfying, as I know I'll just pack it back on in some way, shape, or form. I just think my insides are damaged, and it's not possible for me to lose weight as I suspected in the very first post on here. I guess I achieved what I set out to do, and that's to maintain the weight I was at.

I feel for you especially as you sound so dispirited. I don't quite know what to say but hope you will go on trying. Have you tried eating near the top of your calorie range? Progress might be slow but even few ounces off is a little victory. I just hope you feel better in the morning.💐

Yeah, sometimes I do. I think it has something to do with me not being able to eat much on Sunday, Monday, then Tuesday.

why cannot you eat much Sunday-Monday? Is it the type of diet you are on- if so maybe consider changing your diet, snce it may not be right for you?

You must be kind to yourself DiDiZia . Take a minute to read this and hopefully it will make you rethink your decision. We are all here to support you.

As far as the student loan is concerned, try not to think of it as debt, rather a graduate tax. I hope you are enjoying/have enjoyed your degree course, and I hope it's going to set you up for life, and that you will eventually come to regard it as something which was absolutely worth it - that's what I used to tell my students when I was teaching, and it's what I told both my children when they were trying to decide whether to study or not.

So stay with us @Didizia. We think you're worth it. 😘

Hi.

It's very complicated. I have to send in a passport or birth certificate and get it approved by somebody like a post office worker. I have neither. Then I have to send it through, then I have to get my mother's information so that I can get my bursary. It's all too much. I'm so tired and overwhelmed.

If you have lost your birth certificate you can get a new one. Google it, i am sure it will come up.

I hope they'll accept the birth certificate that I have, but I've previously had somebody say that they can't accept my type of birth certificate as a form of ID. I'll try going to the post office to ask in Tuesday.

Can the student office help you?

Many colleges have social work teams/free counsellor service...

Best wishes😊

Yeah, that's genetics and once you are overweight you can't lose weight by eating like "skinny" person, your body doesn't tolerate junk food simply as it does for skinny person. It has to do with insulin and glucagon levels, you should get on HEALTHY diet, balanced and start working out. I know it's hard at the beginning, but just get a proper diet from somebody who knows his stuff, hit the gym and it will be better, I promise. I'm endomorphic and I gotta control my weight as well after I've dropped 55 pounds, but it's worth it - you feel so much better and you are allowed to eat much more favorite junk food when you are at like 10-15% body fat (for men) than when you are let's say 25-30, you don't gain weight that fast, but yet you have to control your habits, you gotta keep working out - but still, it's definitely worth it. I felt REBORN after getting myself in shape for the first in my life :)

It happened very randomly. I've been eating the way I was last week for over 3 months, and was consistently losing 2-3lbs a week. In total, I lost over 30lbs. This week, I gain. I've also been exercising. But even before I begun exercising for weight loss, I was still losing weight based on my diet alone.

I eat 1,700-2,000 calories a day. I exercised for around 20-45 minutes a day, but I still gain. I'm being diet conscious for no reason, it seems.

I may as well enjoy the one perk of being fat, and that's eating what I like.

i weigh in daily and there are enormous fluctuations which sometimes cannot be explained. for example today i had almost 2 pounds more then yesterday, even though i stayed in my calorie range and exercised quite a lot. i am adjusting my diet as i go and have some slips now and then. i also ate a burger today and a few gummy bears but i counted them in my alowance.

i hope that you dont take your weight gain to seriously because its probably going away very soon. you already lost a lot. your meal today will not have a lasting impact.

i am wishing you all best on your journey and that you can get motivation to procede following your goals.

Thanks, dear. Hopefully you're correct. It's very strange indeed. I've had some weeks where I've been very bad, eating within my calorie allowance range, but nonetheless, have had a sugary drink, or half a chocolate here and there. This weight gain is very surprising, and I'm hoping it's a fluctuation that'll come off soon. I'm not getting my hopes up, but fingers crossed.

I feel you! I too feel so distracted that I feel I am working very hard for very little results. I've barely lost any weight at all the last two, three? Months, and when I do loose, half of it comes back again.

But, I keep reminding myself that the number *is* going down, even if it's wobbly.

I also remind myself this is more about health than weight, and I know I am building muscle, by doing all this exercise, and I may be getting gains now, but in he long term that muscle will help me burn calories, be stronger, fitter, and have so many more opportunities for my future.

Don't get hung up on the number in the scales :)

I hope you manage to get all the docs sorted for uni, must be really exciting! Is there anyone at college (your tutor?) who can give you 5 minutes and help you sort it out?

Well DiDiZia I am very pleased that you have decided not to give in and are in a better place now. The link that Trimmerteacher put up was really good wasn't it. I have saved that to look at again. Thank you TT for sharing.

Hi. I'm doing a little better, thanks for asking. Taking a year's break from college due to student loan application and mental health issues, and will probably volunteer or even get a part-time job.

The weight loss slowed down quite a bit, but I've reached my lowest weight at 270lbs this morning, which is great.

I'm still trying to drink more water and cut sugar out of my diet, hopefully I'll start eating more fruits as well.

Exercise has been stressful. Kind of didn't know what exercise I wanted to do, ending up in me not exercising. That'd explain my weight loss slowing down, but I've set a challenge for myself to exercise everyday this week, until I find the right workout for me.

It shall be well for you DiDiZia! Focus more on the plate coz it matters most and don't let your thoughts on exercise drain your energy. As you evaluate your exercise options, opt for simple workouts like walking outdoors which will definitely boost your moods and help you have a clearer mind. All the very best!

Reply

Thanks! Yes, I need to do more walking. I got back into doing my workouts this week, and I'm now down to 268.8lbs. Just 2.8lbs from my goal of 266lbs.
