Wisdom teeth out, energy out.

Hey everyone - so I had two wisdom teeth out yesterday, and it has totally taken me off my feet! I have a problem with anaemia, and low platelets, and didn't quite prepare myself for how out of it I would feel!

So despite my great start to the week, I doubt there'll be much more exercise till Saturday. Plus I need to eat soft food - I have soup luckily, but my body is craving sugar which is really unusual for me.

Really trying to keep my cals as low as possible whilst I'm so sedentary, but I feel way hungrier than when I'm busying about! 😂 Nervous for my weigh in tomorrow!!

I feel for you, very brave. Supposed to have had mine out 20 years ago but was too much of a coward to agree to it.

I don't think you need to fret too much victoria-anne. You can try the usual tricks, like topping up with water, snacking on fruit or similar etc, but it's only a couple of days, so I'd be inclined to have what your body thinks it needs. Possibly better to give your body the best chance to get back on to an even keel.

Not brave really, haha - it's the lesser of two evils. For the last three years have been getting worsening infections, so they had to go!

Forgot about water, will make sure I up my intake, thankyou!

Ok, so a big positive at the end of it all. Mouth infections are often so debilitating, it will be good to see the back of them.

That is not a pleasant experience Victoria-Anne. Not surprised you feel rubbish.

Soft foods definitely the was forward and I suspect a gentle walk is as much as you can expect to do,

Take care-health first, so important

Hope you feel better soon. Wisdom teeth are a nightmare as I well know. I agree with Tiggerr. Just take it easy for a few days. The weight loss wagon will wait for you!! 💐💐💐

I had a couple of wisdom teeth pulled in my early 20s and it wasn't too bad. But then, mine weren't really bad, just had cavities and my dentist was able to do it in his office. I'd always heard how horrible having your wisdom teeth pulled was so I was relieved it wasn't too bad. I would suppose it must be much worse when you have to have them out for a medical reason. :O

Mine were really soft. Lost mine in my twenties as well, two of them when I was pregnant.

I still have two of them, I only had 2 pulled. Luckily I have good teeth.

Ooo so know how you feel :)

Some foods I found useful / easy to eat (if you like them though)

Brains faggots in gravy and mash or boiled potatoes mashed in with it

Cottage pie

Soups

You will be eating normally again in a couple of days :)

Rest and look after yourself x x

I'm sorry you are feeling so rough Victoria-anne. Listen to your body and be kind to your self. I am sure your weight will not suffer, in a couple of days things will improve I am sure. Have a restful day 🌼

Ok, thanks Cracker :) still very wiped out, but not much pain. Have a lovely lentil curry waiting to be eaten (though I think I'll blend it first!) and some wine. Have had a few naps and puppy cuddles, so hopefully will be feeling much better tomorrow! Thanks for asking after me :)

Take it easy

Personal I know but - have you stopped bleeding where they took the wisdom teeth out? If you are still bleeding try and avoid the wine :) (sorry experience of been there and was still bleeding had wine and I set my healing back a bit, so just be careful xx )

Yes - I'm pretty sure it's stopped - the dentist said I'd be ok after 24 hours. Thanks for the reminder though, I'll take it slow and maybe only have the one!
