I put on 2kg (2.1 kg to be precise) on my 2 week holiday, which is par for the course. One week later after getting back into my normal routine 1.8 kg of that has gone bringing me back to a normal BMI (just!). I am slightly astounded at this, as I've not done anything different from normal (and I NEVER lose over 3lbs a week). But it just confirms that I lose weight in summer much more easily, a fact I've known for years. Now to consolidate and lose a bit more flab.
Hope you've all had a successful week👍🏋🏻🏃

Well done JC, that's a fantastic achievement! Well done you!
It's a funny thing, but others have said that they never lose weight in the summer and it's the cooler months that see them reducing! What strange creatures we are!
I think it's the berries and salads. Rather than craving potatoes, stews and sweet things.
That's great news! I would add to that that the change of routine on holiday causes weight gain in other ways e.g. after long journeys the body can retain water, or if you were eating (or drinking!) different things your digestion might have been affected. I think post holiday weight gains often disappear quickly for that reason. But knowing how much you're running I know you're definitely doing enough right now that it could be down to calorie deficit too. So definitely a good opportunity to try and reduce a little further. I also find summer easier, more time outdoors, less moping around with tv and wine etc! I'm also only just at normal bmi (hovering just below by 1/4lb) - wouldn't mind losing a few more lbs too if my body will let me
I always eat way too much on holiday, mostly 3 full meals a day, plus wine and beer just about every day, which doesn't happen at home. I have been good this week I must admit and am trying to do intermittent fasting, only eating between midday and 8 pm. Wasn't 100% successful, but certainly didn't eat anywhere near as much as on hols. Running is brilliant and helped me enormously on holiday, but it is good to get back into a routine.
