Daily calorie intake?

Hello!

After a very slow start I have planned for the week ahead. Just rechecking my daily calorie intake as I really does seem a lot of food that I have to eat.

The NHS site states 1683 - 2164. I have been aiming for 1850 a day.

Just checking MFP and its come up with 1200 a day?

Can anyone shed some light please?

MFP is a bit stingy, plus you need to add in any extra calories 'earned' by exercise, but this isn't terribly reliable.

If you are losing weight on 1850 that is the best indicator @dazzle 😊

Hope this helps

Thank you very much. I will try the 1850 this week. I never consume my exercise calories. Am I correct in doing this?

some people use the exercise calories, some don't, personally I don't. Trying to find the right calorie amount can be a bit tricky, it is just trial and error. You'll get there. Good Luck:)

I changed the calories on mfp to what the nhs bmi said it made it a lot easier for me,

I think mfp just gives a standard for all and its up to you if you do change it

Yes, the NHS target already allows for exercise levels 😊
