Last week was a difficult one, my long week of nightshifts ( more intense than usual too) and the one full day off I had (Thursday) spent in a blur of cooking, cleaning, bill paying, etc.. All this added up to me starting this week sleeping my Monday away, not something I usually do on the day after my last shift, normally I get in from work around 11am ( it was gone midday this week) and just get on with doing the mundane tasks of running a house, heading to bed at around 9pm. As I say, this Monday I didn't even stop to make myself a cuppa and bite to eat, I just crashed, waking up at 4am this morning!! Which means I slept for 15 hours straight, I usually struggle to sleep 2 hours without waking, then nodding back off.. Wellbeing and energy levels at 0.
So by 8am today I had already done all the washing, mowed the lawn and walked the dogs ( I took all 3 at once as nobody was about at 04.30 and I could let them off the leads and charge around the fields without fear of bumping into other dogs, they loved it and I must admit I found the silence and dawning of a new day uplifting) At 08.00 I made myself a slice of wholemeal toast with mushroom pate and had a Tropicana morning boost 'fruit and cereal smoothie'.. Though I had not eaten for more than 24hours, I did not want to 'raid the kitchen' and was surprisingly full after my breakfast. My second boost of wellbeing for the day. I am now about to tackle the hedge that is looking more like a forest ( everytime I have had the time to do it, the rain has thwarted me), if you don't hear from me in the next 24hours, send out a search party..........😂 Wellbeing and energy levels are now restored and at the top of the scale 😊
